How to Choose the Right Variety for Your Season
Choosing a variety is the single most important decision of the season, and it starts with three questions.
First, when will you plant? Every variety in our catalog lists the seasons it is suited for, from spring and summer types to autumn and winter segments. Second, what is your soil and climate like? Heat tolerance, cold tolerance and disease tolerance vary a lot between varieties. Third, where will the harvest go? Fresh market, long storage and processing all reward different fruit traits.
If you are unsure, our team is happy to review your conditions and suggest two or three varieties worth trialing.
